I attended one of our monthly guild meetings yesterday. We had a guest speaker, Quilt designer Anette Ornelas. Calling her just a “quilt designer” actually does not do her justice – she has invented a whole new technique called straight piecing with curved results. Her quilts are gorgeous; they can be seen on her website (www.southwinddesigns.com) and her blog (Southwind Inspirations; link on my sidebar).
During the meeting, the President had pipe cleaners passed around; they were part of a tip on how to use them to keep spools/cones of thread and the corresponding bobbins together….
