I have to admit, this block was not easy. First, I had to wrap my mind around how I was going to do this, and the execute the plan!
I dissected the block into 7 sections, (4 corner blocks, 1 center section, and the two short “dividing” sections in between the corner blocks). I paper pieced each of the seven sections and then sewed these completed pieces together. To make it all just a tad more difficult, I had chosen directional fabric for this block, so I had to make sure it all ran in a coordinating manner…
And here it is:
This is block # 63; it has 29 pieces.
Just FYI, so far, I have used 1100 pieces!
