It is amazing the amount of details one can pick up walking slowly through one’s neighborhood (rather than driving through it in a car)…

Since it is fall here, and North Carolina has “traditional” seasons, the leaves are turning colors, the air is getting cooler, and fall decorations are popping up on front porches.

I walked through the “older” part of my neighborhood today. By the time it was all said and done, I had walked 1.8 miles and taken some nice photos:

Then, I arrived back at our front door and took a picture of our idea of Halloween decor:



As you can tell, we are not into extensive decorations (I hate having to store all that stuff) for any holiday other than Christmas!

I’m keen to see what I will discover during my next walk…
