A few months ago, Janeen from Quilt Art Designs launched a (digital) magazine geared specifically towards paper piecers. I was almost immediately hooked!

The first issue was geared towards Animals & Sea Life. Janeen’s designs are thoughtful, realistic and detailed. The lion cub on the front page jumps out at you and begs to be petted.

The second issue is chock full of architecture. Again there is a featured artist and lots of patterns for traditional, as well as modern and also whimsical living spaces.

Her instructions are clear and all if the patterns can be printed on a regular household printer and are easily resized. There is always a comprehensive color chart included.

Her featured artist in the current issue (photo at the top) is Esther Franzel (http://ipatchandquilt.wordpress.com); the issue also includes lots of holiday projects for Haloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Paper Piecing Magazine can be bought as a single issue, or as a subscription. Put it in your wish list or purchase a subscription as a gift for someone else this year!
