First, a couple of coming attractions.  Monday, September 12th will be a big day: my block for the 2016 Cloud9 New Block Blog Hop will be published.  I am very excited about this, and hope you will visit.

Zuerst ein paar Ankündigungen:  Am 12en September wird mein Block, den ich für den “Cloud9 New Block Blog Hop” entworfen habe, veröffentlicht.  Ich hoffe ihr schaut mal vorbei.

Also on that day, the BOM for September is due – we are going to Australia!

An diesem Tag, gibt es dann auch den Block des Monats für September – Australien!

Aber jetzt – ein grosses Boot:

I’ve been working on this pattern for quite a while. I drew the pattern, made a wall hanging out of the block, and then – did not publish it….It just never seemed quite right!

An diesem Muster arbeite ich jetzt schon eine lange Weile.  Ich habe das Muster entworfen, habe einen Wandbehang genäht, und dann habe ich das ganze auf die Seite gelegt und nicht veröffentlicht…

Finally, the other day, I gave myself a quick kick in the “you know what” and decided it was high time!

Unlängst habe ich dann entschieden das es höchste Zeit war!

When I made the wall hanging, I omitted the word “Navy” from the bottom, put the dark blue border around it and added the red striped binding – which I think, is perfect for this piece!

Ich den Wandbehang genäht, habe aber das Wort “Navy” ausgelassen, habe eine dunkelblaue Umrandung daran genäht, und dann eine rot-weisse Einfassung (die ich eigentlich für dieses Stück perfekt finde).

This pattern is on the medium/advanced level; not because it is terribly complicated, but because there are quite a few pieces, and because there are some small pieces too. The trick with this pattern is to stay organized – if one stays organized, then there should be no problems.  NOTE: the pattern pieces should be printed on legal size paper.  If printed on letter size paper the block will be approx. 15 in (80%).

Dieses Muster ist mehr für fortgeschrittene geeignet – nicht weil es kompliziert ist, aber weil es viele Teile hat, und manche davon klein sind.  Das wichtigste ist dass man organisiert ist – bleibt man organisiert, sollte es überhaupt keine Schwierigkeiten geben. Die Seiten mit den Muster teilen sollten auf längerem Papier gedruckt werden (Papier das mindestens 35cm lang ist).  Wenn die Musterteile auf “normalen” Seiten gedruckt werden, wird der Block ca. 38cm gross.
