A couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo of fabrics on my Social Media hinting at some secret sewing I was getting ready to undertake.

Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich in meinen sozialen Netzwerken ein Foto mit Stoffen gepostet, und habe darauf hingewiesen, dass ich etwas Nähen werde aber konnte noch nicht verraten was es sein wuerde.

Well, today I am allowed to reveal what I was doing!

Heute darf ich endlich verraten, was ich genäht habe!

I am a Brand Ambassador for Rebecca Page. As such, I sew at least one garment each month (more if I want to). When the pattern is released, I get to reveal what I have sewn.

Ich bin Markenbotschafterin für Rebecca Page. Daher nähe ich jeden Monat mindestens ein Kleidungsstück (mehr, wenn ich möchte). Wenn das Muster freigegeben wird, kann ich verraten, was ich genäht habe.


So, these fabrics became the Toronto Day (Dress) Top. Because this is a flow-y garment with a lot of volume, I used Double Gauze for it. I ended up not using the white – just the floral, teal and dark blue. The top is VERY comfortable and can be worn in many different ways – with belt or without, with capris, skinny pants or leggings. I think I may end up adding ties to the sides and tying it in the back.

So wurden diese Stoffe zum Toronto Day (Dress) Top. Da dies ein fließendes Kleidungsstück mit viel Volumen ist, habe ich Double Gauze dafür verwendet. Am Ende habe ich den weißen Stoff verwendet – nur den Blumen-, Blaugrünen- und Dunkelblauen. Das Top ist SEHR bequem und kann auf viele verschiedene Arten getragen werden – mit oder ohne Gürtel, mit Caprihose, “skinny” Hose oder Leggings. Ich denke, dass ich am Ende vielleicht Bindungen an die Seiten nähen und sie hinten zusammenbinden werde.

Honestly, I was impressed with this pattern. I am a total novice in garment sewing and was still able to follow the pattern easily and complete the top in no time at all. There are not only step-by-step instructions, but they are illustrated also!

Ehrlich gesagt, ich war von dem Muster beeindruckt. Ich bin ein absoluter Anfänger im Nähen von Kleidungsstücken und war dennoch in der Lage, dem Muster zu folgen und das Top in kürzester Zeit zu nähen. Es gibt nicht nur schrittweise Anleitungen, sondern sie sind auch illustriert!

In addition, all the inside edges and seams are finished so there are no frayed edges anywhere. Instructions are given so that no matter what equipment you own (or don’t own) you can properly finish everything. For example, there are instruction on how to finish seams if you own a serger, but also gives you options if you just own a regular sewing machine.

Ausserdem sind alle Innenkanten und Nähte fertig gestellt, sodass es nirgendwo ausgefranste Nähte gibt. Es gibt Anleitungen für alle, egal welche Maschine/Gerät man besitzt (oder nicht besitzt). Zum Beispiel gibt es Anleitungen, wenn mn einen Serger besitzt, aber auch Alternativen, wenn man nur eine normale Nähmaschine besitzt.
