I can finally share the first pair of trousers I have ever made – something I did not think I was capable of…

The pattern is by Rebecca Page (for whom I am a Brand Ambassador) and I am REALLY pleased with how they turned out. I have numerous “hacks in mind, so in addition to the original ones, I will be making several more of these.

Das Muster stammt von Rebecca Page (für die ich Markenbotschafterin bin) und ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Ich habe zahlreiche “Hacks” im Sinn; ich zusätzlich zu den ursprünglichen noch einige weitere machen.

The fabric came from a garage sale (!!); I intended to use it a quilt backing, but it looks really good as a pair of summer pants.

Der Stoff stammte aus einem Flohmarkt (!!); Ich wollte es als Rückseite von einem Quilt verwenden, aber ich denke es sieht als Sommerhose wirklich gut aus!


Rebecca Page patterns distinguish themselves from others because they do not assume anything – EVERYTHING is laid out in step-by-step, illustrated instructions. In addition, the instructions offer options depending on what “equipment” you own (sewing machine vs. serger, for example)

Vorteile:

Cons:
* Sizing – even the pants are supposed to be flown and loose, I do think they run a bit large.
* No pockets (it is easy to add them, but the pattern would be that much better if pockets were included)

Nachteile:

  • Größe – die Hose soll fliessend und locker sein, aber sie ist dennoch ein bisschen gross.
  • Keine Taschen (es ist einfach, sie hinzuzufügen)
