BHE and I have three great-grand-daughters; the oldest one received a quilt a few years ago and so I decided to make quilts for the two little girls (the three of them are sisters). The two youngest ones are 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 years old and share a room.
This quilt is for Mekinzie; she is 2 1/2. She was happy when she received it! It was easy to make; all the blocks are “wonky” log cabins. I chose the fabric because it is happy, cheerful and not the “traditional” girl colors.
Her sister’s quilt (which I have not finished yet 😦 …..) is made of the same fabrics, but is not the same pattern. I wanted them to coordinate but not be matchy-matchy. I will post a photo of it as soon as it is completed.
